New Rich | Got What it Takes?

Hello all, this Blog update is an edited version of a transcript I received from a friend of mine in the Real-Estate wholesaling biz. As the stock and real estate markets are tanking, he’s finding opportunity and creating a fortune. What you read below should make you think about how you go about your day.

It is often said that the most difficult 6 inches on the golf course or in life is the space between your ears!

What does that mean? Well… many times in life we are the ones who present the largest obstacle to our own success.

Oscar Wilde said “Everything popular is wrong.”

The way that you think dictates how much money you make, what sort of lifestyle you have and what sort of relationships you have; it dictates your life.

So it makes sense to monitor and modify how you think and line it up with something that works. If you aren’t living the life you’ve always wanted or creating the results you’ve dreamed of… who’s to blame?

The answer is: You. If you can’t accept that right here and right now, then there is no point in you reading any further. If you realize that “I am my biggest enemy, and the source for everything created in my life… welcome to your future.” As GI Joe would say, “Know is half the battle.”

A book you need to read is The Four Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss.
You need to get that book and you need to read it twice. In Andrew Carnegies, How to Win Friends and Influence People, he encourages readers to read each chapter twice before moving on. Read a chapter once to get a bird’s eye view of the topic and a second time to learn and reflect on learning and application.

Ferriss talks about the New Rich. Various definitions include.

 Living and working, free of restrictions of time and location, creating a lifestyle where you can pretty much live anywhere, work as it fits your schedule and still make a living.
 Those who abandon the deferred life plan – meaning, I’ll start having a good life sometime later when I retire – and create luxury and lifestyle in the present, using the currency of the new rich; time and mobility.
 A whole different breed. They define wealth as an abundance of experience and excitement. They have the freedom to do whatever they want and enough resources available to do, go and see the world while they’re young enough to enjoy it.

Here’s a quote right out of the book; “The new mantra is this – work wherever and whenever you want, but get your work done.”

The new rich are a phenomenon. There are more millionaires being created today than ever. Wealth is being distributed, the economy is changing. The money is coming out of the hands of the big corporations and into our hands. Are you going to get yours? Why do men like Warren Buffet, Robert Kiyosaki, and Donald Trump all have sizable interests in network marketing companies? Are these guys’ idiots? Do they strike you as gentlemen who care what their neighbor Joe says about them. Or are they savvy entrepreneurial pioneers who know when and how to make money.

Many of you have read my postings about Qivana. I am consumed with a belief that this is my path forward. This company is positioned in an expanding industry—even as the rest of the economy contracts. It was founded by legends in both the health and wellness industry and the network marketing industry. Our leadership team has a system I place that will guarantee your success, if you are coachable and willing to follow the steps. Is it simple? Absolutely! Is it easy… well that’s up to you and how hard you want to make it. If you want to stand in your own way of success one more time, you certainly can do that as well.

There’s a saying in the real estate investing business; don’t step over the dollars to get to the dimes.

“In other words, focus on the things that will make you the most money and ignore the small fry. That saying applies to most methods of investing let’s take the issue of gas prices. I’m going to take the kid gloves off and be very blunt with you here.”

“If you’re moaning along with the news media about how the price of gas has gone up another .05¢ you’re an idiot. Why? Because you’re focusing on poverty thinking, you’re trying to save a few pennies here and there, when you should be thinking about making many thousands of dollars”

“The new rich, they speak and they think much differently and they sound absolutely nothing like regular people. They stick out like a sore thumb in this world of mediocrity and negativity. They have different concerns. They have different motives. They have different priorities, they have different mannerisms, but most importantly, you can probably guess it, they have different attitudes. What it all boils down to is that my new rich friends compared to regular people – who are beautiful people too, I’m not saying anyone is better than another person, but they think differently. They get different results.”

“It follows logically that to get one you have to get the other. If you want the new rich lifestyle, you have to begin thinking like the new rich. Here’s a little glimpse. I’m not a professional teacher and speaker, so I don’t really know the best way to lay all of this out. I have a list here of some things.”

Avoid doing any of these things like the plague, here’s the list. Write these down so you don’t do them.
 Clipping coupons
 Returning items to a store
 Writing letters of complaint
 Watching the news
 Sitting in rush hour traffic
You will not catch me dead in rush hour traffic. If there’s something
that requires me to be in rush hour traffic, I simply will not go; I won’t
do it.
 Caring about gas prices
 Wanting the government to help them in any way, shape or form
 Having jobs
 Wearing suits
 Caring about the stock market
 Having 401k’s
 Suing people
 Budgeting

You don’t need to budget, when you live in abundance.

– “Observe the actions of the masses and do the opposite.”

Here is an email from Mark Jackson who owns Investor Comps Online

“What you passionately and purposefully seek to have, you will have. What you passionately and successfully seek to avoid you will also have. When you intently focus your energy upon anything, that thing grows more real and influential in your life. That holds true whether it’s something you strongly desire or something you strongly detest. If you put your effort into fighting against something, you end up giving more strength and consequence to whatever you are fighting against. Instead, find a desirable alternative and put your energy into working toward that alternative. What you hold most firmly and consistently in your mind you create and become.”

“There’s a bible verse in Proverbs, you probably already know it; as a man thinks, so he is. Keep your thoughts focused on moving toward the desirable, enjoyable and most fulfilling things.”

“The most effective way to move away from what you don’t want is to actively move toward what you want rather than defining your life by what you oppose, challenge yourself to develop positive goals that you can enthusiastically embrace and follow.”

“Your life naturally, persistently flows in the direction where your attention is focused, so choose to focus on the best you can imagine. I remember a long time ago I was past due on my mortgage and I had a stack of bills. I was trying to make it in real estate.”

When you wake up every day, you need to be saying to yourself – do you know what today is about? Today is about creating what ever it is that is most important to you—Relationship, Love, Money, Health, Fitness, Spirituality… what ever you have a burring desire to create. Focus on moving toward what you want, and the rest will take care of itself.

“Remember, the currency of the new rich is time. There is so much going on now days, life is extremely complex. If you let all these little things get your attention – returning the Blockbuster movies, your bills – you won’t be able to do it you’re going to lose your mind. On average, an American citizen has 27 bills. Life is getting very complex you have to learn how to focus. Not only can I make more money doing something else with that time, but it is also hard for me to put a price on the stress it causes me to go through the whole return process in the first place.”

“I have a very strict rule in my world and if you have no rules in your world, you need to realize that you don’t have a world. You live in someone else’s world. Your reality is non-existent. Any healthy person should have rules that they will or will not accept for their life, values and beliefs.”

“Mine is no undue stress. Stress is the enemy. If I don’t enjoy something, I either don’t do it or I outsource it. Joy is the key to your destiny, your purpose. We all need to be trying to find out our purpose in life. You’re here for a reason. God put you here for a reason. Don’t miss it. The key to finding it is to follow your joy. Pay attention to your joy and passion. Focus on your joy. Everything else is simply here to kill you.“

“Fortune favors the bold”

“The new rich are the boldest of the bold. Read The Four Hour Work
Week again to help it really sink in it’s really important; otherwise, trust me, I would not be wasting my time, which is my currency, saying it if it weren’t true.”
